Preseason Week 2: Miami Dolphins @ Dallas Cowboys Preview *NFL NETWORK*

The Return of Tony Romo

Finally, it is time for Tony Romo to return to the field for the Dallas Cowboys. He should play 1-2 drives. It is a good sign that Jason Witten is playing and Cameron Wake is not playing.

The Encore of Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott is ready to take the field and show that he is the quarterback of the future for the Dallas Cowboys. He dominated last week, and he will continue to play well today.

Darius Jackson

Darius Jackson will continue to get 10-15 carries tonight. He’ll run strong and fast as he did last week. He’ll look to play well against Kiko Alonso and company.

A Muilligan for Andy Jones

There has been a lot of buzz from the Cowboys camp due to the big undrafted rookie out of Jacksonville, Andy Jones. He received the highest signing bonus out of all the Dallas Cowboys undrafted free agents, $15,000. Last week, he underperformed against the Rams and he is looking for redemption against the Dolphins.

Jason Witten is Playing

Jason Witten will be on the field again tonight as he say last week for rest. He will be there for Romo as a safety blanket.

Rico Gathers on the Field

Rico Gathers should get a chance to play against Miami. He was spotted in warm ups running near Tony Romo and Dak Prescott.

Chaz Green in the Starting Lineup

Tyron Smith will be out tonight again, so Chaz Green will get the start once again at the tackle position. With Cameron Wake not playing, he should have a much easier time.

Benson Mayowa’s Debut

Benson Mayowa sat out last week. He is set to debut tonight, Demarcus Lawrence is set to make his season debut as well.

Anthony Hitchens’ Leadership

Anthony Hitchens will continue to show that he can be a bigtime leader at the other middle linebacker position next to Sean Lee. He’ll be ready to takedown Arian Foster and Jay Ajayi.

Lucky Whitehead: An Elite Returner

Speedster Lucky Whitehead will continue to make many explosive plays in the return game.

Matt Wile’s Role

Matt Wile looks to earn a David Buehler type of role as a kicking specialist. He will continue to do the kickoffs tonight.
