Ezekiel Elliott Takes Home FedEx Ground Player of the Year Award

Matt Ryan was awarded FedEx Air Player of the Year

Houston, Texas – Ezekiel Elliott has become the first Dallas Cowboy to win the FedEx Ground Player of the Year. The award has only been in existence since 2003, but, DeMarco Murray was not given the award in 2014. A Cowboy is yet to won FedEx Air Player of the Year.

Elliott was awarded FedEx Ground Player of the Week in weeks 4 and 5 (49ers and Bengals, 272 rushing yards 3 touchdowns in span). He rushed for a league high in rushing yards with 1631. He also added 15 rushing touchdowns which ranks amongst the top in the NFL. Zeke Elliott earned a starting spot in this year’s Pro Bowl.

Ezekiel Elliott knows how great he can be as he has been very open about some of his areas of improvement since the Playoffs. Look for Zeke to be ready to eat in larger portions in his 2017 campaign. I believe that he is ready to pass up 1845.
