ESPN 2017 Best Value Pick, Dak Prescott

A lone star in the running for this award, Dak Prescott has earned and been award the 2017 ESPN Best Value Pick. An obvious winner, as the Dallas Cowboys selected Prescott in the 4th round (pick 135) of the 2017 NFL Draft. The quarterback lead the team to a 13-3 record (13-2 in full games), as well as an NFL third-best, quarterback passer rating (104.9).

In my opinion, there is not anyone in the draft that will come close to Dak Prescott in 2018, but I believe Joshua Dobbs from the University of Tennessee will win this award next year, as well as he’ll be one of the drafts biggest sleepers if not the biggest. If I was a GM I would take him in the third, but I see the fourth round to the Pittsburgh Steelers as a potential fit, coincidentally also pick 135. A few players on the Cowboys’ radar that could fit this mold: Desmond King, Cole Hikutini, Dan Skipper.
