Two weeks away from the 2017 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys face a serious problem in the secondary. They need cornerbacks, they need at least one more safety. Fortunately for them, this is a very, very deep draft class in terms of the defensive backs. They also could have had some additional fortune as the Tennessee Titans have surprisingly released veteran cornerback Jason McCourty on Thursday.
The eight-year veteran would at the least add experience to the backfield as he has proven himself to be a commodity in this league with a rare trait of being a phenomenal tackler, doesn’t allow much after the pass – can even step up a stop the run. McCourty has amassed 500 career tackles during his tensure with the Titans.
