NFL Draft Round 1: Taco Charlton

Philadelphia – With the 28th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys have selected DE from the University of Michigan, Taco Charlton.

Taco Charlton is a large framed versitile defensive end that can play either inside, or outside in the 4-3 scheme. He is a very similar player to David Irving, which is very good for the Cowboys. The need here fills a pass rushing void, as it’s a misconception that the Cowboys have poor defensive line play.

Grade: A-

Round 2 Priority: Cornerback or Safety, Kevin King, Sidney Jones, Jalen Tabor, Desmond King, Cordrea Tankersley, Chidobe Awuzie, Jourdan Lewis, Fabian Moreau, Josh Jones, Obi Melifonwu
